nao is the AI editor built for data teams, connected to the warehouse and aware of every schema.

nao Labs is a startup founded by Claire Gouze and Christophe Blefari, part of Y Combinator’s Spring 2025 batch and backed by Kima Ventures.

Their bet: do for data what Cursor did for code. nao is an AI editor wired directly into the data warehouse, with a copilot that understands your schema, catches breaking changes and diffs tables before anything ships. More recently, the team launched an open-source analytics agent builder that lets non-technical users query their data in plain English.

Antitype has worked with nao since its early days, from the brand identity to the website that established its position as the AI data editor.

We then built its design system and designed the product interface, giving a demanding technical tool a clear, consistent experience. The work extends into motion: an animated loader in multiple color variants for AI chat states and graph rendering, and a homepage animation designed to guide the eye and sharpen visual hierarchy.
